Our Vision: We at Soccer Wars are focused on creating a Positive Atmosphere for a unique National Competition that focuses on Fun, Sportsmanship, and Learning. Win, lose or draw respect for others is a must at Soccer Wars. We are striving to build a community of players and families that come together for competition and leave as lifelong friends with a support group like no other.
In a Nutshell
We will have players play small-sided games with various opponents/teammates to see how they can contribute to the team's success. Players get individualized rankings from the contest and in the process find out how to play with various abilities, formations and playing styles! We built a one-of-a-kind competition that will only help your player grow through personal and team challenges and successes! Oh, by the way, you can also qualify for a national event if you show up and show out!

Our 4 V 4 Style Tournament
Round Robin Style Games: Players will register individually and be randomly assigned to teams to play 4 v 4 games. Players will play between 2-3 games on Day 1 of the tournament and at least 2 games on Day 2.
We have created an algorithm (math stuff) to promote players that help their team do the following.

Championship Game: The top players with the highest accumulated points from each age group will get the opportunity to play in the Championship Game. Points accumulated from the Championship game will determine the top player that will be automatically qualified for the National Championship.
Skill Wars: We will offer a special competition during the first day of the tournament. Registration will be available online. Drills will be set up and staff will be on hand to document your scores. A leader board will be established for national recognition for top scores.
Pre-Event Clinic: We offer a clinic prior to each tournament with our in-house professionals! This will be led by our own Rob Acosta, a 10 Year Professional Soccer Player, as well as Certified Fitness and Nutrition Trainer, who has helped players around the US and in all levels of the game! This is a great learning opportunity for your player as well as a great introduction to our one of a kind 4 v 4 tournament. Pre-registration will be available online.
Celebrate Your Club: We at Soccer Wars want to help Clubs celebrate their players and their success. At Each Event, clubs (with players in the tournament) will compete for the bragging rights of having the best players participating in our tournaments! This honor will be calculated by player standings and participation in our event throughout all player age groups & celebrated with pictures and Social Media posts!
Basic Rules of the Game:
Pre-Registration Required: You must register online to enter the tournament.
Roster: Players will be randomly assigned to teams according to their age Bracket.
No Substitutions: There are no substitutions in our games. You sign up, you play!
Slide Tackling: Strictly Prohibited. *Stay on your feet!
No Offsides
Free Kicks – All Free Kicks are In-Direct Kicks, Defensive Players must be 5 yards from the Ball.
Out of Bounds – The ball must be Kicked/Passed in from the Sideline. No Throw Ins. Goals may not be scored from Out of Bounds.
Goal Kicks – These will be played from the End Line of the team receiving possession.
Penalty Kicks – Called by the Referee if a scoring opportunity is taken away by a defensive player. It is a Direct Kick.
Ball will be placed 5 yards beyond the Mid-Field Line with all other players behind the placement of the ball.
Penalty Kicks are not Live Balls. If no Goal Scored, the defensive team will re-start the game with a Goal Kick.
Sportsmanship – We emphasis the importance of Good Sportsmanship and players will have an opportunity to receive sportsmanship points.
No Sideline Coaching: No Coaches or Parents can coach from the sideline. Players play, Parents, Coaches & Scouts watch, it’s that simple.
Game Time: Games will be 2 - 8 Minute ½’s with a 4 Minute ½ time.
OR Game ends when one team reaches a 10-goal lead.
No Ties Allowed
If tied at end of regulation time; they will go to Penalty Kicks to determine a winner. Refs will explain our PK’s.
Scoring:
Goal Scoring: A Goal may be scored from anywhere on the field, outside of the Goal Box, as long as all other rules are followed.
Soccer Wars Scoring: Individual points per game played will go to all players on the team. Winners are determined by individual points collected after all games are played and tallied.
Field Regulations:
Field Spacing: Fields spacing will follow US Soccer guidelines for 4 V 4 soccer. Fields will be the following; Length 25-35 and Width will be 15-25 yards.
Goal Box: (No Player Zone) 10 Feet Wide by 6 Feet Deep directly in front of the Goal.
Ball Size: 12U and under size 4. 13U and up will use size 5. (If groups are combined; they will use the larger size ball.)
Shin Guards: All players are required to wear shin guards.
Goal Size: 4 x 6 Feet.
